Simble Solutions (ASX:SIS) reports its wholly owned subsidiary company Simble Energy has signed a 1-year term with a 2-year option agreement with Origin Energy.

The company says the agreement will provide Simble Solutions’ SimbleSense platform to Origin Energy, a business unit of Origin that provides energy solutions and services to its ‘large’ business customers, including helping them to decarbonise their energy supply.

Simble Solutions notes under the agreement, Origin will manage the installation of the energy monitoring devices at customers’ sites, with customers being expected to use the platform to monitor their behind-the-metre energy usage at a device or circuit level, as well as access a breakdown of their energy consumption in real time.

Other uses available to customers include the identification of trends and potential savings opportunities, and assistance in the measurement and verification of energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects.

The company also notes the agreement provides further validation of Simble’s leading energy management technology, with one of Australia’s largest energy retailers by market share choosing SimbleSense as a critical part of its strategy to drive businesses towards net-zero.

With the agreement between both parties now signed, Simble Solutions announces sales training will commence in March 2023 in order to enable Origin’s sales personnel to offer the capability as part of its broader range of customer solutions.

Simble Solutions is an ASX-listed global Sustainability Solutions Group with industry-leading software products enabling net zero carbon reporting, and energy monitoring and intelligence software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions in conjunction with energy efficiency and carbon reduction consulting services.

Meanwhile, Origin Energy’s business unit, Origin Zero, was established in order to help ‘large’ business customers with their decarbonisation goals on their transition towards net zero. The company offers tailored, end-to-end energy solutions including demand side services to reduce carbon and cost; tailored low carbon supply solutions; and ongoing optimisation and orchestration of assets.
