RemSense Technologies awarded $2 million contract from AGC Industries

by Berkeley Lovelace

Technology solutions company RemSense Technologies (ASX:REM) has secured a $2 million contract from AGC Industries on behalf of Chevron Australia.

The company says the contract has been awarded to undertake virtualplant scanning of additional LNG facilities through 2023 and 2024 for a total contract value of about $2 million.

RemSense Technologies notes the award builds on the successful virtualplant scanning of some Chevron assets last year, with new site scanning work commencing early April 2023.

“The contract award is the largest single commitment for virtual plant scanning and a significant milestone for RemSense”

The company also notes the contract has been awarded following the resignation of its Director Nicole O’Connor, as announced by RemSense in February 2023.

RemSense reports a change in policy condition of employment with her current employer necessitated the resignation from the board of the company.

Speaking on the awarded contract, RemSense Managing Director Steve Brown said: “The contract award is the largest single commitment for virtual plant scanning and a significant milestone for RemSense.

It’s a great example of the maturing of enterprise sales opportunities starting in 2022 by our business development team led by Anthony Roe. The team has been steadily building opportunities in parallel to the development of virtual plant product and services with our global partners.

Further prospects across market sectors are progressing in Australia and overseas.”

RemSense Technologies is an ASX-listed company that has developed virtualplant, a photographic asset visualisation platform that fulfils the promise of VR/AI technology as a digital representation of plant assets that integrates with existing business operations and asset management systems to deliver greater productivity, increased safety, and reduced cost.
